Le Petit Paris is located right in the middle of two cycling routes, the Velodysee, the longest fully signposted cycle route in France, and Vendée Vélo! Cycling is one of the best ways to discover the beauty of the landscapes that surround the campsite. In addition, Les Sables-d’Olonne and the neighbouring areas have many cycling paths, be it on the coast, in the forest or along the salt marshes.

From Château d´Olonne to Bourgenay

Difficulty: Easy

Distance: 7.1 km (6.1 km asphalt and 1 km sand)

Time: less than 30 minutes

Itinerary: Puits d’Enfer, Abbey of Saint-Jean d´Orbestier, Cayola Bay, Bois de Bourgenay, Veillon dune beach, Marais and la Guittière oyster farm

Come and discover the Vendée coast along this path, whether with friends, family or alone, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the ocean as you ride along the rocky coast. Between woods and beaches, admire the Abbey of Saint-Jean d´Orbestier, a historical monument from the 12th century. You will then enjoy a spectacular view across the Bay of Cayola, continuing your journey to the dunes of the Plage du Veillon then on to la Guittière oyster farms where you can indulge in a local delicacy.

Around Les Sables-d’Olonne

Distance: 17 km (10.9 km asphalt and 6.1 km sand)

Time: over 1 hour

Itinerary: Sauveterre Beach, Salt Marshes, Paracou Beach, in the heart of Sables-d’Olonne and at the Puits d’Enfer

Come and discover Les Sables-d’Olonne and its surroundings along this path, with family, friends or alone. Departing from Sauveterre Beach, you can enjoy a superb view of the ocean along the beach and the wild coast. Continuing your way through some forests, you will cross the salt marshes and then arrive in Les Sables d’Olonne. Take in the rich heritage of Sables d’Olonne by way of La Chaume, Port Olona or even l’Ile Penotte…

Your route will end at the Puits d’Enfer after having ridden along the rocky coast. Here you will have a breathtaking view of the ocean and this impressive fault in the cliff. With a little more effort you will arrive at Camping le Petit Paris.
