Water sports and activities are particularly popular and there is a wide variety of possibilities.
Fishermen may try their luck at sea fishing, many companies propose outings, or, cast your line from the shore and spend a few hours surf casting.
Kids can have fun and make friends at one of the beach clubs while their parents go shopping or have a drink in a seaside café and enjoy the view.
Holidaymakers of all ages may finally take the time to learn or brush up on their favourite nautical sport thanks to our sailing schools and water sports clubs (surfing, paddleboard, jet ski, kayak, scuba diving ….


For those who want to admire the beauty of Les Sables d’Olonne’s coast from the waters, numerous boat rental companies propose a wide range of cruising and fishing boats and packages, with or without a skipper. Just imagine an outing on the ocean, breathing in the salty air with your friends or family.

La Vendée is renowned for its beautiful, vast beaches. Clients at Camping Le Petit Paris benefit from the campsite’s proximity to five beaches, each different from one another.

Tanchet beach

Tanchet beach, 3.5 km from Le Petit Paris and situated opposite the “Institut Sport Océan”, is a well-known surfing spot and has numerous water sports competitions. Families also enjoy this beach where children love to explore the rocky section and tidal pools at low tide. From this lovely beach, we have a superb panoramic view of the city of Les Sables d’Olonne and its main beach. From April to October it is possible to dine on the beach in one of the restaurants.
During the summer holidays, a municipal bus proposes round trip service to and from the campsite to Tanchet beach.


The main beach in Les Sables d’Olonne

In the heart of Les Sables d’Olonne this stunning, southern facing beach has come to be known as one of Europe’s most beautiful. Along this close to 3 km long stretch of sand, we find restaurants, bars, kids’ beach clubs and shops. This magnificent fine sandy beach with its gentle slope and gentle currents is ideal for small children and lends itself perfectly to the practice of beach and water sports and activities.

Paracou beach

Located in the neighbourhood of La Chaume, this charming beach, with its dunes and rocky coast, is very popular amongst shore fishing enthusiasts.

Sauveterre beach

Cette vaste plage sauvage est bordée par des dunes et derrière, la forêt domaniale. La plage de Sauveterre est aussi réputée pour le surf et d’autres sports nautiques.

Veillon beach

Located in the town of Talmont Saint Hilaire, at 7 km from Camping Le Petit Paris, Veillon beach, with its dunes, forest, cliffs and lagoon is pristine and simply gorgeous. Dotting the huge expanse of sand and coastal waters are kite surfers, surfers and surf casting anglers.


All our beaches have zones monitored by lifeguards.
