Camping ecogestures
Even if vacations mean freedom, they must also mean sustainability.
For several years now, the campsite has been committed to an eco-responsible approach to its operations. We do everything we can to preserve nature, from small everyday gestures to major renovation projects.
What does it mean in practice?

LED bulbs: All buildings are equipped with LED bulbs. Thanks to their long life and low power consumption, their use drastically reduces waste production and electricity consumption.
A water regulator: Most of our taps in our sanitary facilities and rental units are equipped with a water saver to avoid over-consumption.
Key card switches: In some of our cottages, an electrical box activates the lighting using your mobile home key. This means you no longer have to check if all the lights are off before heading out for a walk.

Smart heaters: Did you leave the door open and forget to turn off the heating? In our new rental apartments, the heating switches off automatically.
Photovoltaic panels: At the far end of the campsite, a storage shed has been built and covered over its entire surface with photovoltaic panels. This helps limit the impact of rising electricity prices and overproduction by power plants.
Solar lighting: Want to enjoy the campsite even during the night ? Small solar lights have been installed throughout the grounds to brighten up your evenings.

Washable containers: Order your meal at the snack bar (pizza, salad, tapas) and pick it up in an eco-friendly container. It’s through these daily actions that we reduce our waste together.
Waste sorting: an easy habit. At the campsite entrance, a dedicated sorting area allows you to separate your waste:
Packaging bin: for plastic, cardboard, and metal packaging.
Glass bin: for glass bottles and jars.
Paper bin: for newspapers, catalogues, leaflets, and notebooks, but brown cardboard is strictly prohibited!

Our composting area: Because nothing is lost, everything is transformed! We provide a composter for your organic waste (fruit and vegetable peelings, coffee grounds, plant-based food scraps). It’s an excellent way to reduce the volume of our bins while nourishing the soil in our gardens.
Reusing plant waste: And yes… because our flowerbeds are also eco-responsible. When we prune our trees and hedges, we recover what has been cut back and turn it into wood chips or compost.
Zone sans pesticide : Ici, pour respecter la nature, tout le désherbage est réalisé manuellement.

A water fountain: With zero waste in mind, the campsite has installed a water fountain. No need to buy plastic bottles, just fill your flask with fresh, filtered water directly from our fountain.
A donation box: Do you have items you no longer use during your vacations? Don’t throw them away, donate them! They could be useful to someone else.
Cycle paths: The campsite is at the foot of a cycle path that will take you to the center of Les Sables d’Olonne. Put your car down for the duration of your stay and take advantage of the many cycle paths that the Vendée has to offer.

Practical information
For a number of years now, the team has been taking steps to avoid throwing away goods they no longer use. As a result, cutlery, pots and pans and other utensils are donated to various associations such as the Red Cross and Restos du Coeur. Meanwhile, blankets and comforters are donated to the SPA for our 4-legged friends.

It’s up to you!
