Ile d’Yeu, once visited, never forgotten

On only 23 km2 of surface, this island which abounds in unsuspected treasures, murmurs its rich history and shows you how much, its pristine and preserved nature is sublime.

Embark on a Compagnie Vendéenne boat in St Gilles Croix de Vie, take advantage of this short crossing (about 60 minutes) and enjoy the the wind’s caresses and the ocean’s spray.

Arriving on the docks in Port Joinville… You will love this emblematic village and main fishing port of the island.

In fact, the two-wheeled vehicle is certainly the best way to visit La Belle.

Once on your bike, go and discover this untouched island, you will be dazzled by its beauty.

Must see: the Grand Phare, the Pointe du Châtelet, the Vieux Château, the Port de la Meule and its small Chapel of Bonne Nouvelle, the Port des Vielles, the Pointe des Corbeaux, the village of Saint Saveur.

By bike or on foot, cross its dunes, natural beaches, creeks, cliffs, groves and forests. A rich and resplendent fauna and flora inhabit this island of a thousand wonders with nearly 290 species of birds and over 760 species of plants. Do you like nature? You’ll be in seventh heaven on the Ile d’Yeu!
