Come and take a walk in the city of the Sardine. You may not know it, but the port in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is the largest blue fish fisheries in France. Don’t miss the “Chemin de la Sardine”. Follow the blue fish drawn on the ground and learn all about the industry and the history of this town. Visit the Perle des Dieux shop and buy delicious souvenirs from your day in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.

After visiting the fishing port, do not miss the marina where sailboats and motorboats are moored. Stroll to the rhythm of the shrouds on the sailboats’ masts.

The town is also known for its beautiful sandy beaches. With the long stretch of coastline, you are bound to find a place to lay your towel down and enjoy an afternoon at the water’s edge.
